The Criteria

Look, if I'm going to be a proper reviewer we need to lay down some ground rules. A set of things I'm looking for. 

Disclaimer!!!!!

When it comes to coffee, I am an ENTHUSIAST, I didn't go to any kind of school for this. (Though I did go to one seminar that talked about bean roasting so you could say I'm an expert). I'm just a bitch who likes coffee. 

Now when it comes to being disabled? 👀 Bitch is an expert. (I am bitch) (I'll stop saying bitch now) (I was trying to be edgy). I have 30 years of experience under my belt. (You could say I was born for this). That being said I am always open to constructive criticism and if there

is some sort of criteria I missed please let me know! 

Now onto the show!

First of all this is MOSTLY going to be set around the Inland Empire in Southern CA. That's where I reside, that's where I review simple as that. This doesn't mean I won't travel and not tell you guys about it, but let's face it, those will be few and far between.

The Coffee Rating

The Coffee Criteria: 

I've thought long and hard about the kind of reviewer I want to be. I know I am not a harsh person and I know that people have off days. This is why I am giving main coffee shops multiple chances to impress me. I will be going a total of 3 times in order to get the full experience. Each time I will be ordering different things to get a taste for their shop and their coffee. 

• The first time will be a regular oat milk latte. Yes, oat milk, I'm sorry but I'm not going to waste my dairy pills unless absolutely necessary. 

• The second time I will be ordering a specialty item from the menu if the shop provides it. What are they pushing? (If I can get this dairy free I will, if not I will waste a pill just for you). 

• The final time I will be asking the barista what they recommend. (If they recommend something I've already tried, I'll decide what to do at the moment and inform you.

I am going to rate the taste, presentation, and overall vibe on a 1-5 coffee rating. (5 being the best fucking coffee you ever had). This way you can easily access how I feel about the coffee if you're in a rush. I will also be doing my best to look into the company. I want to tell their stories. Do they have a relationship with their roasters? Do they have glassware for dine-in service?Are they a giant corporation built on greed? You'll know it here. (This is just extra, you know, to make my job harder). 

The Accessibility Rating

The Accessibility Criteria:

This I also thought long and hard about. I want as many people with disabilities to be able to refer to my page if need be. I want many voices to be heard. Now, I am in an electric wheelchair so I am already programmed to look out for many of these things. 

• Is the shop accessible?

• Are the staff extra helpful? Or even just willing to help?

• Was the way to pay with a card accessible? (Is the reader easy to reach? Is the screen easy to reach?) Is the counter too high to get your drink?

• If there's a bathroom, are THOSE accessible? 

• The size of the shop (are you able to sit or is there barely enough room to order)

• How heavy the door is

• What is the accessible parking like? How many accessible spaces are there?

You see people? I'm ASKING the questions! I will be rating accessibility from 1-5 wheelchairs (5 being the most accessible shop you ever did see)!

Now, I'm only here to waste your time if that is what you seek. If you are a wheel on the go kind of person, do not worry. That is because at the end of every post, there will be an overall rating. A combined final score that shows the best coffee and accessibility. This will be a percentage score (100 being the highest). So, if you're in a rush, just scroll to the bottom and see how the shop did overall.
